Isla update

This week we had a meeting with Early Intervention to check out Isla. She's still not walking, or even standing on her own. She'll stand if she's leaning on something, no problem but not stand in the middle of the room on her own.  Believe it or not, this Mama wasn't really worried at all but there is a great program out there that can help with things like this. They ran the Bayley tests on her (really interesting, play based test) and as suspected, she tested completely normal in all areas except gross motor skills. The Physical Therapist suggested that it may just be that she is so flexible so standing and walking will come a little later for her.  This is what I have been saying for awhile. The end result is that we will have a physical and occupational therapist come to our house to work with Isla once a week.  This is a state program and is run through our school district. It is completely free (well, minus your tax dollars, thanks!). How great is that?

A few random pics from the last few weeks...
 Our little Isla Bug.

Who doesn't prefer to read a good book with a diaper on their head? C'mon!

Lola's hair is long enough for piggies too!

Isla singing to her music class cd. This kid LOVES music class and is so much fun to watch while there. She completely lights up, claps along and tries to sing. :)

Auntie Jen brought the girls a nice Valentine. :)

Playing with cousin Michael. Such a sweet boy!

The air is a little dry at the lake!

Can you say, STATIC?
