Merry Christmas!

We celebrated Christmas with friends and family over the course of a week. It was really fun with the girls this year. They are beginning to understand the concept and were excited every time we saw Santa, Christmas lights, Christmas trees and heard Jingle Bells (which they call Tinker Bells). Christmas is SO MUCH FUN with kids!

Isla posing in front of the tree.

Lola ate a tasty Christmas cookie made by the Schafhauser clan at their cookie bake. She was a fan of this one!
Isla LOVES Santa. She ran across the room to jump in this guys arms the moment he walked in the door. It was a priceless moment.
Lola is still unsure of sitting on his lap. All is good until she gets on his lap...then, this.

 Isla's Christmas dress.
Lola was a little less than cooperative when I asked her to stand in front of the tree so I could take a picture. She's 2!

The boys opening their new guitars! We expect to hear great tunes next year at Christmas. :)
The guitar box was a fun new toy.

Coming downstairs to see if Santa came. :)

Looking at the stuff from Santa.
Lola took a little fall into the hearth. She's icing her chin.
Isla got a Daniel Tiger treehouse from us. She sat and stared at the box for about 20 minutes before we opened it. I think this will be a great toy to spark her creative imagination.
:)
The girls were included in our Christmas "popper"tradition this year. That is where the hats come from.

The whole Christmas Day crew...minus me, taking the shot.

Playing in the little playroom at the cabin. Rockin' the new jammies!

New train set from Uncle Craiger!

A little after Christmas sledding day. :)

 That's my family!

Going to visit the plastic snowman at the lake. He's there all year. The girls love him.

Thanksgiving, tree in our house and little outings.

We were lucky enough to celebrate Thanksgiving twice, once with my family and Dave's family at my Aunt Jan's house and a second time with our dear friends Chris and Cristy.
Lola helps feed "Baby Cousin, Anna".

Isla and Zac wearing their new reindeer glasses. :)

Lola eating the plastic fruit from the centerpiece. That's my kid!

The whole crew...minus me taking the picture. Great food and company.
4 turkeys!

Sledding is a new adventure this year as they can do it by themselves. So much fun! Now, we just need to get rid of these 40+degree temps and get some more snow on the ground!

Both girls have decorated and re-decorated the bottom half of the tree about a thousand times now. To tempting!!

Isla pulled the (potty) chair over next to the tree to sit and look at its beauty. Nice.
Lola wants a horse for Christmas. It has started already!

Lola "helped"put the lights on the tree.

Two expert cookie chefs. Just started our Christmas cookie baking yesterday.

We've had some fun playdates with friends. Here are four kids, 4 and under all playing blocks harmoniously. Lasted about 30 seconds. :)

There are four kiddos in that bus!
Isla driving the recycler.

Fun times playing at the library.

Playing with the letters at the library.

Watching the big fish at the zoo.

The zoo has a great kid program on Thursdays. Lola and Isla were feeding the zoo animals here. Coincidentally, the little girl in the orange pants is also an Isla and within weeks of the girls age. Quite honestly, she looked more like Isla than Lola does. It was bizarre!
